Three business partners who met through Xerox Corporation (Ken Fiske, Ed Reehil, and Joe Holroyd) incorporate as KENEDJO (combination of partners 1st names) hoping to license their custom electronic digital clock design.

KENEDJO's design works, but Texas Instruments introduces lower power CMOS technology that ends their design's commercial viability.
1974
- Ken Fiske's neighbor, Tom Walsh, asks for help in fixing a homemade security system he has created for his home.
- Fiske, a Xerox design engineer, gets system to work but suggests improvements that would make it better.
1975
- Local architect and friend of Tom Walsh, is impressed with his security system and desires one for himself.
- Walsh has Ken Fiske implement his previous recommendations in the design and installation of an improved 16 zone home security system in the architect's home.
- Fiske gets referral business and reunites KENEDJO partners to help fulfill the requests for additional systems.
- KENEDJO is selected to design and install a security system for the Al Sigl Center in Rochester, NY.
1976
- KENEDJO is renamed to SenDEC (Sensing Digital Electronic Controls) as a security system design, manufacturing and installation company.
1978
- Launch of Push Button Keying for keyless accecss to residential, commercial, or restricted areas requiring secure access.
1979
- Launch of SenDEC System 8 – The 1st microprocessor based residential security system.
- SenDEC System 8 wins Design News Magazine’s 10 best consumer technical ideas of the year.
1980
1982
1983 - 1984
- MDT-Castle recognizes SenDEC with quality award & major turnkey contract.
1985 - 1986
- SenDEC divests itself of its security business by selling it to partner Joe Holroyd who incorporates the spin-off as Sendex Security Systems, Inc. SenDEC is now free to focus its energy on contract electronics manufacturing services.
1987
- SenDEC invests in its 1st Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line.
1988
- MDT-Castle recognizes SenDEC for saving them $500K and reducing development time by 6 months.
- SenDEC consolidates manufacturing and moves to new production facility at 2650 Baird Road in Fairport, NY. SenDEC manufacturing operations include design and test engineering, manual and automated through hole assembly, wire and cable harnessing, and surface mount placement.
- Herb Ley, owner and President of SIPAP Electronics, Inc. seeks design, prototype and production services from SenDEC for his invention of a digital maintenance meter that records engine running time and alerts when service is due.
1989
- SIPAP displays Maintenance Meter prototype at the International Lawn, Garden and Power Equipment EXPO ‘89 and takes orders for 1000 units on show floor.
1990
- SIPAP Electronics exhibits the Maintenance Meter at the International Lawn, Garden and Power Equipment EXPO ‘90 and wins the Innovative Products Award.
1991 - 1992
1993
- SenDEC is recognized as a Xerox approved supplier for completion of their multi-national supplier quality program and its commitment to total quality management practices. SenDEC was approved based on same criteria used to help Xerox win the Malcolm Baldrige Award.
- SenDEC aquires SIPAP Electronics and its Products business is born.
- SenDEC Sentry Maintenance Meter for equipment rental market is launched.
1994

SenDEC becomes member of IPC–Association Connecting Electronics Industries.

Craig Hoffman joins SenDEC as VP and General Manager of Contract Electronics Manufacturing Group.

SenDEC redesigns meter product line to incorporate Chip On Board technology.

SenDEC relocates to 23,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility at 151 Perinton Parkway and purchases $1.5M in new surface mount equipment.

Thomas Tette becomes VP and Chief Financial Officer of SenDEC.

SenDEC awarded U.S. Patent 5,644,491 for the Maintenance Meter design.

- SenDEC establishes Products Group as a separate business unit (now CEM Group & Products Group).
- SenDEC CEM (Contract Electronics Manufacturing) Group expands within 151 Perinton Parkway and an additional surface mount line is added to accommodate increased sales.
- Products Group operations are relocated to North Wayneport Road facility in Macedon, NY with David Sestito appointed as General Manager.
- SenDEC is #46 in the Rochester Top 100 fastest growing private companies in 2000.

- SenDEC receives ISO 9002:1994 certification from DLS Quality Technology Associates, Inc.
- Vibration Activated Hour Meter is launched.
- SenDEC Corporation is recognized by Monroe County Executive Jack Doyle for contribution to economic vitality to the community.

- SenDEC CEM Group wins contract from U.S. Postal Service.
- SenDEC CEM Group expands its electronic manufacturing services from 151 Perinton Parkway (23,000 sq. ft.) to 60,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility at 72 Perinton Parkway. The move includes $2M in new SMT line and other capital equipment improvements.
- SenDEC CEM Group receives largest contract to date from Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC) to manufacture CREW2 subassemblies for US Army.
- SenDEC Products Group doubles manufacturing space in Macedon facility to accommodate growth.
- Universal Input AC/DC Hour Meter is introduced.
- Rotating Shaft Tach/Hour Meter is introduced.
- Contact Actuated Meter is introduced.
- Products Group portfolio expands into global racing markets.
- SenDEC is #46 in the Rochester Top 100 fastest growing private companies in 2004.

- SenDEC CEM receives recognition plaque from Bob Roberts, President and CEO, Syracuse Research Corporation for its support of the CREW2 Program (U.S. Army program to protect soldiers from Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)).
- SenDEC Products Group launches new product families including Race Pro, LED Voltmeter, Battery Fuel Gauge, and Motor Speed Monitoring devices.
- SenDEC Products Group needs to expand and moves back into vacated 23,000 sq. ft. facility at 151 Perinton Parkway.
- SenDEC’s Fastach tachometer appears on Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters–Episode 32: Personal Jetpack.
- SenDEC is #45 in the Rochester Top 100 fastest growing private companies in 2005.
2006
- SenDEC CEM Group employees receive training and are certified for IPC-A-610 Class II (production) and Class III (high reliability) Workmanship Standards as well as J-STD-001 Soldering Requirements Standards.
- SenDEC invests additional $2.1M to continue expansion of manufacturing capabilities.
- SenDEC receives 2006 Vision of Excellence Supplier Award from Hand Held Products, Inc.
- SenDEC Products Group introduces Liquid Fuel Gauges and Dual Maintenance Gauges.
- SenDEC Race Pro III receives high marks from National Kart News Magazine.
- Ken Fiske is a finalist for the 2006 Business Person of the Year Award by the Small Business Council of the Rochester Business Alliance.
