Despite the high tech nature of our work and the many industries we serve, we still believe that people make the difference. Since its earliest days, SenDEC has always been guided by the golden rule, “treat others as you would like to be treated yourself”. This has and continues to apply to the way that SenDEC treats its employees, customers, distributors, suppliers, and the greater community in which we work and live. This simple motto is also the foundational element that SenDEC’s values and ethics code are built upon:
This has resulted in a family-oriented atmosphere where customer service is highly regarded and not viewed simply as a department, but an attitude and commitment to excellence that extends to every corner of our organization. SenDEC’s customer first mindset is applied from initial consultation to final delivery with a genuine desire to exceed expectations every step of the way. This attitude, coupled with 30 years of expertise and a total quality approach has enabled SenDEC to do something that is very rare for a manufacturing company in New York State – grow rapidly. We have been able to buck the recent manufacturing trend of outsourcing to countries with cheaper labor due to the value we offer our customers. With this growth, SenDEC has been fortunate enough to hire more quality people from the local community. We take pride in having an extremely diverse labor force that remains very family-oriented. Our employees are dedicated to producing the best quality products and services for our customers. It is understood that each employee serves an important link in the customer service and quality chain and is respected for their role. SenDEC, true to its values, also believes in sharing its success with our employees who were responsible for it through both team celebration and individual reward. In recent new hire interviews, it has been confirmed that SenDEC has a reputation in the community as a visionary company where every worker is respected for their contribution, is treated honestly and fairly, and is provided with a friendly and safe work environment. We are very proud of this reputation and find it consistent with the attitudes of our employee family based on general discussions with them and blind survey results. At SenDEC we are also proud of our relationship with the community and feel a duty to it. There have been opportunities to move our company during its rapid growth to more favorable tax states, but with the help of the county and the loyalty and trust we have with our employee family, SenDEC remains in Rochester (Fairport), NY and continues to grow. We are extremely environmental friendly and are actually a regional leader in RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) production processes to eliminate lead (traditionally used in solder on printed circuit boards) from the environment. SenDEC also prides itself on a long history of supporting organizations and individuals that help others as well as giving back to those who have helped us. Our employee family has also excelled at lending a helping hand to co-workers and/or partners of ours in their time of need. In summary, I am extremely proud of our company and hope it serves as a wonderful example of the success that can be achieved by focusing on exceeding the needs of customers with guidance by ethical values and principles.
